Lush

One of the best ways to recover from a long day of work, is a nice, warm bath. And when I take a bath, I prefer the whole shebang: scrubs, facial masks, body butters, everything! Most of the cosmetics I use for my extensive bathing, are from Lush.

Lush makes 'fresh', handmade cosmetics that are not tested on animals. As you can see on the pictures that Ivanna was so kind to make in Maastricht, their products look very pretty, and sometimes a bit odd (some of them even seem edible, but they are not! Trust me...).
Aside from their good looks, the products smell amazing, and work even better! Over the years, I have tried shiploads of different Lush products, but there are some I just can't live without.

My all time favourite is "Angels on Bare Skin", a facial cleanser and mild scrub. It is said to originate from a medieval recipe, and when you see this ugly gray mess of clay and lumps, that is not very hard to imagine. But don't let its awful looks deceive you! This lavender scented goo makes my skin cleaner and softer than anything has ever done before. All you have to do is take a small piece (about half a marble), mix it with a tiny bit of water, gently scrub your face with it, and rinse off. It is mild enough to use it every day, and I must say that I have no problems with doing so.

Another favourite of mine is "Tramp", a lovely dark green shower gel that smells like a dark mossy forest. I usually don't care that much about shower gels, but this is such a lovely, sexy, comfortable scent that I have to have at least one bottle. I almost cried when I heard this wonderful product would not be available in the regular collection anymore, but thank heavens it is still available in the Retro selection of lush.co.uk! The shipping costs are quite high, but it is totally worth it:)

I would love to tell you more about the products I have tried, but I think it would be better to test them yourselves. They have bath bombs, bubble bars, fresh face masks, moisturizers, old-fashioned soap, and even make-up! So, there is plenty of choice for everyone.

Love,
Lisa
